It can feel daunting for some to embark on a therapy journey, and taking the first step is often the bravest. At Collective Psychology we are mindful of this and will help you to feel relaxed, comfortable and informed when exploring your options for therapy. Our focus is on helping you to reach your desired goals for change and personal development, through a holistic and personalised treatment plan.

We're Here to Help

Welcome!

We are exclusively trained in a variety of therapeutic models and approaches, all of which are recognised by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as being robust and effective. We provide individually tailored treatment based on your identified goals within therapy, and provide outcome measures to help you track progress.

Effective

We are a team of highly skilled Clinical and Counselling Psychologists who have extensive training and considerable experience within the NHS and private sectors. As doctors of psychology we are registered with the HCPC. Our specialisms include working with children, young people, adults, couples and families, and with a wide range of mental health, emotional and relational difficulties.

Experience

Our clinic is specifically designed to enhance your therapeutic experience. We aim to cultivate a peaceful, calming and grounding environment, whilst also prioritising the privacy of our clients. This holistic approach to therapy will facilitate a positive and enriching journey towards your goals for change.

How Can We Help?

“Thanks for all the help and support you’ve given to [my child] over the past few months.  He seems to feel much more his own person and more comfortable.  I think he loved ‘discovering’ and talking about his values today and has been telling us about them.  He hasn’t mentioned anxiety for several weeks.  Your sensible and open approach has given us reassurance and your willingness to find a path to share that will help [my child] without betraying confidence has been hugely appreciated.”

“I just wanted to say thank you for all your efforts over the past few months. It’s been great having another person champion [my child] in a time that felt very isolating for us both and hard to see how things could improve.”

“Working with Jo was a calming and enlightening journey. Her professional manners are impeccable. She guided me through difficult times, giving me the necessary tools to navigate through my life with greater self-confidence and a sense of control. I feel that I am much better equipped for handling any situation I might encounter in the future.”

I have been working therapeutically for over 10 years and specialise in a number of different evidence-based therapies. My ability to put my clients at ease and develop a strong therapeutic relationship has facilitated effective treatment with children, young people and adults alike. I look forward to meeting you and developing a holistic and individualised plan in therapy to help you reach your goals.

My name is Dr Jo Douglas and I am a Clinical Psychologist and director of Collective Psychology.
