I support people with a number of presenting problems including but not limited to anxiety (including generalised anxiety, specific phobias, panic attacks, health anxiety, social anxiety), OCD, PTSD, low mood / depression, self-criticism, low self-esteem, perfectionism, stress, and perinatal mental health difficulties.

Areas of particular interest
I have a particular interest in perinatal mental health and working with cognitive-behavioural and compassion-focussed approaches.

How I Work
I take an integrative and evidence-based approach to my work, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and research regarding attachment theory, trauma and neuroscience. I aim to tailor therapy to your individual needs, hopes and goals, supporting you to reflect on your experiences and develop a greater understanding of yourself, alongside developing practical skills / tools for everyday life.

– Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy), University College London (UCL)
– BSc in Psychology, University of Southampton

Additional training
Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (AFT) accredited foundation level training, British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) accredited level two training, Dyadic Developmental Practice, Psychotherapy & Parenting level one training, additional post-qualification trainings in Compassion Focussed Therapy (Compassionate Mind Foundation) and Perinatal Clinical Psychology (University of Exeter).

Experience
I have worked in NHS mental health services since 2017.

Beyond the Therapy Room
Outside of my work, I enjoy gardening and looking after my physical health and fitness, in addition to spending time with my friends and family.
