Hello, my name is Lucy. I am passionate about parental mental health. Of course, I’m also child focused but I believe helping mums, dads and carers with their own emotional and psychological needs is an effective way of supporting the whole family. I have a special interest in the path to parenthood, the first few years of a child’s life and maternal mental health in particular. I work currently within the NHS with parents of babies born prematurely. Many people I work with have experienced complex fertility journeys, birth trauma, baby loss or may be adjusting to their child having longer-term health needs. I am experienced in supporting parents with anxiety, depression, worries about bonding and other mental health conditions, including Autism and ADHD. I aim to bring a compassionate, non-judgemental approach to my work.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I’m trained to Doctoral level in assessment, formulation, and intervention. I draw on different psychological models to meet individual client needs, including Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment Theory, Solution Focused Brief and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
